I wanted to get back into practicing stock trading and the day after I started to search for stock trading simulators I came across Wall Street Survivor . Since it's free to sign up I had nothing to lose.


What I like:



I'm really suprised someone actually got their butts in gear and created a tight stock trading competition simulator. For so long stock trading simulators just came and went. Too many cheaters getting 10,000% or higher returns. If you examine the returns the winners are getting they are all in the 100% to 600%. This is more down to earth and reasonable. Hopefull the folks over at wallstreetsurvivor will keep things running smoothly for a long time.


Don't forget, you should use manual paper trading in conjunction with the wallstreetsurvivor simulator. It is easy to get carried away with the $100,000 starting portfolio and $200,000 buying power that you are given to trade stocks with.


The paid feature option:

The quotes you work with on the site are 15-minute delayed. They can't give everything away so if you want real-time-quotes you will need to purchase them. As far as price it's the standard $11-16 per month depending on how many months you choose. Everything looks legit on this site and paying the additional cost for real-time-quotes is worth it.


The verdict:

Other then the downer of having delayed quotes without the real time quotes subscription everything else is top-notch. I give this site 4.5 out of 5 starts.
